South Mall Towers
Rehabilitation project involving extensive renovations to one hi-rise building and one mid-rise building, comprising more than 345 low- to middle-income senior citizen apartments
PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS
The South Mall Towers rehabilitation project involved extensive renovations to one hi-rise building and one mid-rise building, comprising more than 345 low- to middle-income senior citizen apartments.
Included in the renovation and rehabilitation were new windows, replacement of the aging heating system, and upgrades to common areas, as well as complete asbestos abatement, exterior masonry restoration, new roofing and interior finishes. Renovations at the senior housing facility were also made to the lobby, elevators, entrance area, and facility kitchens and baths.
Most significantly, the restoration project was conducted without displacing any of the tenants at the Capital District of NY’s largest senior housing facility.
