PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS

Construction management project for the Capital District Transportation Authority involving the demolition and restoration of an historic train station in the upstate New York resort town of Saratoga Springs, with the design features of the new facility reflecting the style of the surrounding Saratoga community.

Improvements at the site included a new entrance road, new utility connections, enhancement of intermodal access and new infrastructure. Structural improvements included all new utilities, new station façade and new roof. The new structure has a larger passenger waiting area, larger windowed areas, and retail space.

The project was recognized by the American Public Works Association’s Capital District Branch as 2006 Transportation Project of the Year <$10 million.
